New Fabrication Quote

Hello All - Carlos hand delivered this new quote to me today. It is 2,300,000 colones ($4,151) less than Carlos Bonilla Bonilla. Carlos Solano tells me the workers are now waiting for the metal to begin arriving. I think we should go ahead and accept this quote so we can continue with the construction process....

2009_02_06 More Work on Entry Walkway

Rob's ERROR in Planilla

Hello All - I made a mistake in adding up the amount due to Carlos Solano. I only paid him for one of the two weeks. I was able to void the first check and give him a check for the correct amount. Sorry for the confusion.

Carllos Bonilla Bonilla - Metal Fabrication Quote

Hello All - Below is the quote for the metal fabrication from Carlos Bonilla Bonilla. The price is higher than I expected. However, Carlos Solano explains that the fabrication of the curved beams for the round house takes more time and the metal must be heated up with a torch first then bent to the correct curve (all by hand). I asked Carlos Solano to shop around to see if he could find another fabricator that is less expensive.

Due to the unique design of your house, we may need to go with Carlos Bonilla Bonilla as he has demonstrated on Callie and John's house that he is competent.

2009_02_02 Work on Bridge to House

Hi All - We needed to make a small change to the location of the bridge walkway. The bridge structure must go to the left of the lipstick palm cluster. This is because of the height and width of the roof over the bridge. We would have to cut some major trees down to construct the bridge along the current foot path. This change means we will only have to remove a few small trees and brush.
